COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAII <br />'74 09 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THREE (3) SHIPPING CONTAINERS FOR <br />THE HAWAII COUNTY CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY <br />WHEREAS, Matson Navigation Company is donating three (3) 24 foot shipping containers to the <br />Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency (HCCDA); and <br />WHEREAS, these containers, with an estimated total value of $9,500, will be used to store disaster <br />response supplies of the HCCDA, State of Hawaii Department of Health, and American Red Cross; and <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of-the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on <br />behalf of the County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency recommends the acceptance of this donation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br />accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, the Council of the County of <br />Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation be sent to Mr. Mike Lee, Matson <br />Navigation Company, Honolulu Office, P.O.
