No. 74-09 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> TIME: 11:00 a.m. <br /> <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 74-09, reports as follows: <br /> <br /> Resolution No. 74-09, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 209, <br /> dated March 17, 2009, authorizes the acceptance of a donation of three shipping containers by Matson <br /> Navigation Company to be used by Civil Defense, State of Hawaii Department of Health, and the <br /> American Red Cross to store disaster relief supplies. The containers are valued at $9,500. <br /> <br /> Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13-12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the County, <br /> may accept gifts or donations of personal property. <br /> <br /> A letter of appreciation will be sent to Matson Navigation Company, P.O. Box 899, Honolulu, Hawaii <br /> 96808, acknowledging this generous donation. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Ford asked where containers would be stored.
