~JM<V or y~' COUNTY OF HAWAII •~~ :• STATE OF HAWAII . ... 1Tr o',.N'i~ RESOLUTION NO. 9:L' 09 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS AND SUBMIT THE AMENDED 2008 ACTION PLAN AND ALL OTHER RELATED DOCUMENTS TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 (ARRA) FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM (CDBG). WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii is a direct recipient of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Cities Program funds from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD); and WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii anticipates an CDBG-ARRA allocation of $647,364; and WHEREAS, it is required by HUD that before the County of Hawaii receives its CDBG-ARRA allocation, the County shall submit an Amendment to the 2008 Action Plan; and WHEREAS, it is required by HUD that the County of Hawaii submit certifications assuring conformance to related rules, regulations and laws of the CDBG-ARRA Program; and WHEREAS, a timely submission of the Amended 2008 Action Plan for the CDBG-ARRA funds, in accordance with appropriate federal regulations and guidance, is necessary. NOP7, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that the Mayor of the County of Hawaii or, in his absence, the Acting Mayor or authorized representative, is hereby authorized to execute and submit the Amended 2008 Action Plan and all other related documents and agreements necessary to process the CDBG-ARRA Program to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County shall utilize the CDBG-ARRA funds in accordance with program rules and regulations and comply with the program certifications attached to the Action Plan.
