Therefore, the proposed action <br /> will not have any effect on significant historic sites. There is a burial plot immediately <br /> <br /> to the north of the project area. The Island Hawaii Burial Council has approved a <br /> Burial Treatment Plan for the preservation and protection of this area. A condition will <br /> <br /> be included to require the notification of the Department of Land and Natural <br /> Resources-Historic Preservation Division (DLNR-HPD) should any archaeological sites <br /> <br /> be encountered during the course of development. <br /> <br /> PUBLIC UTILITIES AND SERVICES <br /> 20. Access: Access to the project site is off Mamalahoa Highway which has a right-of-way <br /> <br /> width of 60 feet with a 20-foot pavement. According to the applicant, access to the <br /> proposed subdivision will be via a private road. Sidewalk improvements are proposed <br /> <br /> along the west side of the street to the north end of the Village Commercial (CV-7.5) <br /> zoned district. The applicant is proposing to provide a channelized intersection, <br /> <br /> including left turn pocket lanes and other improvements required by the Department of <br /> Public Works. <br /> <br /> 21. Water: Water is provided by an existing 8-inch and 12-inch waterlines that fronts the <br /> subject property. Parker Ranch has drilled a water well to the north of the project area. <br /> <br /> This well is in the process of being connected to the County water system and will <br /> <br /> provide reliable water source for this area. <br /> 22. Wastewater: There is no municipal wastewater treatment system in the area. <br /> <br /> According to the Department of Health, the property is situated within the Critical <br /> Wastewater Disposal Area and therefore, the applicant would be required to dispose <br /> <br /> wastewater into septic tank system. <br /> 23. Utilities: Electrical and telephone service are or will be made available to the property. <br /> <br /> AGENCIES' COMMENTS <br /> 24.
