WHEREAS, the Keiki Health Center Education and Outreach Project is implementing <br />creative prevention education programs that are important to reach high-risk children and <br />families, support is requested to help with materials that engage this target population; and <br />WHEREAS, there is a declining number of pediatric dentists who are able to take non- <br />insured, low income clients, or clients with insurance not acceptable to the pediatric dentist, and <br />this population of children plus special needs adults sometimes need to be flown to Oahu for <br />dental treatment; and <br />WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to <br />the Hawaii Fire Department to help WHCHC -Keiki Clinic to defray operational expenses that <br />are not covered by the federal government or insurance for children in non-insured, or low <br />income families, or special needs adult population; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br />following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $22,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $22,000 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.221.5224.02 Hawaii Fire Department $22,000 <br />Fire Prevention - OCE, Misc Charges <br />(West Hawaii Community Health Center, Inc.- <br />.
