Yamashiro, dated January 8, 1997, <br /> submitting for confirmation the following appointment <br /> to the Hawaii County Liquor Commission: <br /> Mr. Raymond G. Carvalho, II, of Puna and a <br /> 49-year resident of Hawaii who, since 1980, has <br /> been the owner of Carvalho's Plumbing Service. <br /> He has no party affiliation. <br /> If confirmed, Mr. Carvalho will replace <br /> Eleanor J. G. Morita of Puna, whose term <br /> expired on December 31, 1996, and will serve a <br /> term which ends on December 31, 2001. <br /> Comm. 125: APPOINTMENT TO THE BOARD OF ETHICS - WARREN P. CHONG <br /> From Mayor Stephen K. Yamashiro, dated January 27, <br /> 1997, submitting for confirmation the following <br /> appointment to the Hawaii County Board of Ethics: <br /> Mr. Warren P. Chong, of Kona who, since 1989, <br /> has been the field representative of the Hawaii <br /> Carpenters Union. He is a registered Democrat. <br /> If confirmed, Mr. Chong will replace Stephen G. <br /> Bess of Waimea, whose term expired on <br /> December 31, 1996. He will serve a term to end <br /> December 31, 2001. <br /> <br />
