<br /> The mayor, for positions in the executive branch, the council chair, for
<br /> positions in the legislative branch, and the prosecuting attorney, after the
<br /> effective date of this ordinance, may move an employee covered by this pay
<br /> plan beginning at Step A or the employee's existing compensation level,
<br />
<br /> whichever is applicable, at a rate of no more than two steps for fiscal year 1997-
<br /> 98 and one step per fiscal year thereafter; provided that additional step
<br /> movements or raises shall be authorized only if approved by resolution of the
<br /> council.
<br /> (B) The salaries of the Executive Assistant to the Council Chairperson,
<br /> Council Legislative Assistants, Legislative Auditor Assistants, Fiscal/Program
<br /> Review Auditor, Administrative Assistant to Legislative Auditor, Personnel/Senior
<br /> Account Clerk, and the Council Aides of the Office of the County Council shall
<br /> be at the following rates:
