Marian Kosters <br /> Tax MapKgy 6-2-11.28 <br /> The Planning Commission, after a duly held public hearing on October 6, 2000, voted to <br /> recommend for your approval the proposed legislative bills to change the State Land Use district <br /> from Agricultural to Rural and a Change of Zone changing the district classification from <br /> Agricultural (A-5a) to Residential and Agricultural (RA-2a) for approximately 5.002 acres of <br /> land. The property is located in Anekona Estates Subdivision on the south side of Kanehoa <br /> Drive and along Keanuiomano Stream, approximately 3/8' of a mile from the KAwaihac <br /> Road/Anekona Street intersection, Ouli, South Kohala, Hawaii. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following findings as recommended by the Planning Director: <br /> <br /> State Land Use Boundary Amendment <br /> The approval of the reclassification from the State Land Use Agricultural to the <br /> Rural District will not be violative of Section 205-2, Chapter 205, Hawaii Revised <br /> <br /> Statutes, nor will it be inconsistent with the Land Use Commission Rules, the Rule 13 of <br /> the Planning Commission Rules of Practice and Procedures, the County General Plan and <br /> the Hawaii State Plan. According to the Hawaii Land Use Commission Rules, the <br /> following three standards shall apply when determining an area for the Rural district <br /> boundaries: <br /> <br /> (1) Areas consisting of small farms; provided that the areas need not be incladed in <br /> this district if their inclusion will alter the general characteristics of the areas; <br />
