processes for the land based canoe facility ("Hale Wa`a") and new ocean access for canoes, <br />including a safe swimming area within the park. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County of Hawaii and its Department of Parks <br />and Recreation are encouraged to act as a conduit/sponsor through which any and all <br />development funds such as ARRA ("American Recovery and Reinvestment Act") may be <br />solicited in order to fund the development of the Kona shoreline park project as it evolves. <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward copies of this <br />resolution to Mayor William Kenoi, the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation, the <br />Director of Finance, Governor Linda Lingle, the Department of Land and Natural Resources, <br />Division of State Parks, the U.
