<br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> _ <br /> BILL NO. 334 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 OF THE HAWAI`f <br /> COUNTY CODE 1983 (1995 EDITIONi RELATING TO FIREWORKS. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`1: <br /> SECTION 1. Chapter 14, article :i, relating to fireworks is repealed in its entirety. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 14 of the Fawai`i County Code 1983 (1995 Edition) is <br /> amended by adding a new article 5 relating to fireworks and its fees and penalties, to read <br /> as follows: <br /> "Article 5. Fireworks. <br /> Section 14-25. Title. <br /> This article shall be known as the Fireworks Code and shall apRl, <br /> t~ o the <br /> importation, storagepossession, sale, nurchase, transfer and discharge of fireworks <br /> within the Count~of Hawaii. <br /> Section 14-26. Definitions. <br /> ~ Whenever used in this article, unless the context otherwise requires: <br /> "Aerial common firework" means anv firework, classified as in the <br /> regulations of the United States Bureau of Explosives or contained in the <br /> r~ulations of the United States Department of Transportation anti <br /> designated as UN 0336 1.4G. which produces an audible or visible effect <br /> and which is designed to rise into the air and explode or detonate in the air <br /> -1- <br /> <br />
