Enclosed is the Police Department's notification of grant award form to the Council, pertaining to the JAG. Normally, the notification of grant award to the Council is not placed onto the Finance Committee meeting agenda. However, the Police Department is requesting that this report be placed onto the agenda so that it can satisfy a grant requirement that a public hearing is held on the proposed use(s) of the grant funds. These funds will be used to assist with the department's training equipment needs and to properly equip the department's evidence warehouse. At the next Finance Committee meeting, the Police Department will be glad to answer any questions the public or the Council members may have regarding this grant.
