The Department of Liquor Control supports <br /> activities and educational programs to prevent underage drinking. The transferred funds <br /> will be used to support Liquor Control's Drug, Alcohol, Tobacco (DAT) Program for high <br /> school student-athletes who conduct alcohol awareness and prevention of underage <br /> drinking training to fifth graders in the respective feeder schools. The funds will also be <br /> used to support Project Grad activities. <br /> <br /> Since the next DAT conference is to be held in early October, the Department of Liquor <br /> Control is requesting to waive the Finance Committee and to have this bill heard at the next <br /> Council meeting scheduled for September 2, 2009. <br /> <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of Liquor Control. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Nancy E.
