REQUEST: <br /> The Department of Liquor Control would like to transfer $25,000.00 from our Liquor Control Fund Balance <br /> Reserve account to the account listed below: <br /> <br /> 010.251.5251.39-115 - Public Programs $25,000.00 <br /> <br /> We request a waiver from the Finance Committee meeting so that this may be heard at the Sept 2, 2009 Council <br /> meeting. Approval for funds is needed before scheduled DAT conference that will be held in early October. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> <br /> The Department of Liquor Control supports activities and education to help prevent underage drinking. This <br /> request will support our Drug, Alcohol and Tobacco (DAT) Program for high school student-athletes who <br /> conduct alcohol awareness and prevention of underage drinking training to fifth graders in the respective <br /> feeder schools.
