No. 471/Reso No 219-09 <br /> <br /> PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa <br /> 78-128 UAW Street <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawat`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 471, reports as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> Communication No 471, transmitted by Council Member Pete Hoffmann, dated July 20, 2009 <br /> presents a resolution introducing proposed amendments to Chapter 25, article 2, division 4, <br /> section 25-2-46, of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended). <br /> <br /> The resolution requests the Planning Director and the Planning commission submit comments on <br /> the proposed amendments to include parks and recreation and firefighting facilities in <br /> concurrency requirements. <br /> <br /> Concerns were raised that the concurrency requirements are inherently biased against small <br /> landowners and/or small subdivisions.
