The amendment is as follows. <br /> <br /> FROM: <br /> 3303.67 Federal Grants - DUI & Crash Reconstruction General $30,000 <br /> Traffic Safety Training <br /> <br /> TO: <br /> 010.271.5271.68 DUI & Crash Reconstruction Traffic Safety General $30,000 <br /> Training Grant <br /> <br /> TOTAL $30,000 <br /> These funds will be used to implement a project that includes: assignment of a deputy prosecuting <br /> attorney to be the Statewide Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor, providing statewide training for police <br /> and prosecutors, and for the participation at monthly statewide traffic commanders meeting. Last fiscal <br /> year, the State of Hawai'i Department of Transportation had awarded a $80,000 DUI & Crash <br /> Reconstruction Traffic Safety Training grant to the Hawai'i Office of the Prosecuting Attorney. <br /> However, only $50,000 of the $80,000 total grant amount was appropriated in last fiscal year's budget <br /> To fully implement and complete this project, the Prosecutors Office seeks to appropriate the remaining <br /> $30,000 into this fiscal's budget, brining the total grant appropriation to $80,000. <br /> <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawai'i Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawai'i County Charter, the <br /> Mayor is hereby authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for the DUI & Crash <br /> Reconstruction Traffic Safety Training grant to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney. <br /> <br /> There was no discussion on this measure. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> FC Rept.
