These funds, derived from federal funds, were to be used to <br /> implement a project that included: assignment of a deputy prosecuting attorney to be the <br /> Statewide Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor, providing statewide training for police and <br /> prosecutors, and for participation at monthly statewide traffic commanders meetings. <br /> However, only $50,000 of the $80,000 total grant amount was appropriated in last fiscal <br /> year's budget. To fully implement and complete this project, the Prosecutor's Office <br /> seeks to appropriate the remaining $30,000 into this fiscal year's budget. <br /> <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending this fiscal year's Operating Budget and <br /> increasing the DUI & Crash Reconstruction Traffic Safety Training account by $30,000 <br /> and bringing the total grant appropriation to $80,000. <br /> <br /> If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Office of the Prosecuting <br /> Attorney. / <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Nancy .
