No. 316/Res. 153-09 <br /> <br />TIME: <br /> <br />11:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Council Chair and Members <br />Hawai'i County Council <br />Hilo, Hawai'i 96720 <br /> <br />Your Committee on Public Works and Intergovernmental Relations, to which was referred <br />Communication No. 316, regarding Resolution 153-09, reports as follows: <br /> <br />Resolution 153-09, transmitted by Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase via <br />Communication No. 316, dated April 30, 2009, accepting the dedication of Lot 9073-B-22 (Portions of <br />Kipimana Street and Mikahala Street), of the W.R Shipman Industrial Park, being Tax Map <br />Keys: (3) 1-6-151:022, situate at Kea'au, District of Puna, County and State of Hawai'i from <br />W.H. Shipman, Limited. <br /> <br />There was no testimony from members ofthe public regarding the proposed resolution. <br /> <br />Article XIII, S 13-12 ofthe Hawai'i County Charter provides that the Council may accept gifts, which <br />include the dedication of land, on behalf of the County of Hawai'i. <br /> <br />W.R Shipman, Limited is desirous of dedicating Lot 9073-B-22 (portions of Kipimana Street and <br />Mikahala Street) of the W.R Shipman Business Park, Increment I, Phase I-D, including all subdivision <br />improvements. <br /> <br />Assistant Corporation Counsel Gerald Takase appeared before your Committee. Mr. Takase commented <br />that the W.R Shipman, Limited met all requirements and is in full compliance according to County of <br />Hawai'i standards. <br /> <br />W.R Shipman, Limited representatives Mr. Bill Walter and Mr. Kimo Lee appeared before your <br />Committee. Mr. Walter commented that the dedication is in full compliance of County of Hawai'i <br />standards.
