<br />COUNTY OF HAWAI'I STATE OF HAWAI'I <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 270 09 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION NAMING THE RESOURCE LIBRARY AT THE AGING AND <br />DISABILITY RESOURCE CENTER AFTER THE LATE SALLY LEILANI WEHRSIG. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) located at 1055 <br />Kino'ole Street in Hilo, Hawai'i, serves as a one-stop resource center for information, <br />counseling, and access to services for our seniors and disabled community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a Resource Library to help the caregivers for the elderly and disabled cope <br />and have a better understanding of the challenges they face, will soon open at the ADRC; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the library will provide a wide variety of informational pamphlets, <br />brochures, books and periodicals as well as videos and informational CDs available for viewing <br />and a computer for researching information over the internet; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, planning for the library was a pet project and passion for the late Sally <br />Leilani Wehrsig, who worked tirelessly on the project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mrs. Wehrsig planned the library's layout and content of available <br />, information and worked to acquire the library materials several years in advance; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, with the help of her daughter, interior designer Pohai Moku, Mrs. Wehrsig <br />worked with KUlani Correctional Industries on the design of the library furnishings and the <br />furniture for the ADRC waiting area; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAW AI'I, that the <br />Resource Library at the Aging and Disability Resource Center be named the Sally Lailani <br />Wehrsig Resource Library in memory of the late Sally Wehrsig. <br /> <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
