C 25 Aupuni Street y ? cn% Hilo, Hawai'i 96720, Re: Resolution Transferring Funds > Pursuant to Section 2-179 of the Hawai'i County Code, the Geothermal Re ocatiorWnd Community Benefits Fund is to be administered by the Planning Department. The Planning Department is authorized to establish a program for the relocation of owner- occupants residing near the Puna Geothermal Venture's plant and who want to be permanently relocated, and to fund expenditures for the benefit of Lower Puna; including but not limited to, road improvements, water infrastructure development, land acquisition, parks and recreational facility needs, civil defense mass transit improvements. Expenditures from this fund are to be made in accordance with appropriations adopted by the Hawaii County Council after receiving recommendations from the Planning Director. Enclosed is a resolution that transfers $14,525 out of the Geothermal Relocation and Community Benefits Fund's Planning Department's account and credits it to the Department of Finance's Geothermal account. The money, to be used by the Property Management Division to pay the rent of the Pahoa Council Office, has received the recommendation of Planning Director BJ Leithead-Todd.
