REQUEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Prepare a resolution to transfer funds ($14,525) from the Geothermal Relocation and Community <br /> Benefits fund's Geothermal OCE account (Planning's 095.141.5143.02) to the Geothermal Finance <br /> OCE account (095.121.5129.42) for the rental costs of the Pahoa Council Office. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> <br /> Due to the combination of the decision to close the Pahoa Elections office and the expiration of <br /> the Council's present lease, beginning December 2009, the Pahoa Council Office will be <br /> relocated from 15-2660 Pahoa Village Road, Room 105, Pahoa, Hawaii to the former Pahoa <br /> Elections Office located at 15-2662 Pahoa Village Road, Suite 304, Pahoa, Hawaii. The lease of <br /> Suite 304 expires 7/31/2012. This change of occupants does not affect the lease and has <br /> received the consent of the landlord. <br /> <br /> The Property Management Division of the Department of Finance has accepted the responsibility <br /> of paying the monthly lease rent from the Geothermal fund; thus the transfer of fund is necessary. <br /> <br /> The transfer amount of $14,525 reflects 7 months of rent, until the end of this current fiscal year. <br /> Next year's operating budget will include the proper funding for the duration of that fiscal year's <br /> lease rent. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> SIGNED: DATE: November 3, 2009 <br /> Departm nt Head <br />
