The amendment is as follows: <br /> <br /> Account No. Source Fund Amount <br /> <br /> 3308.48 Federal Grants - Energy Efficiency and Conservation Grant General $ 737,800 <br /> <br /> Total $ 737,800 <br /> <br /> Account No. Function and Activity Fund Amount <br /> <br /> 010.161.5163.15 Energy Efficiency and Conservation Grant General $ 737,800 <br /> <br /> Total $ 737,800 <br /> <br /> The United States Department of Energy has authorized a grant for the Hawaii County <br /> Department of Research and Development to implement four (4) energy efficiency activities. <br /> These include 1) Street Light Retrofit to Energy Efficient LED Lamps, 2) Residential Green <br /> Retrofit & Energy Efficiency Training Program, 3) Government Operations Energy <br /> Sustainability Management System, and 4) Financing Package for Energy Efficiency and <br /> Renewable Energy Projects. <br /> <br /> Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii County <br /> Charter, the Mayor is hereby authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for the <br /> Department of Research and Development. <br /> <br /> Council Member Ford asked Director of Research and Development Randy Kurohara and <br /> Energy Coordinator William Rolston to explain for the viewing audience how the funds would <br /> be spent as detailed in the Resolution. <br /> <br /> <br /> FC Rept.
