Ford, Council Member r.i <br /> <br /> SUBJECT: An Ordinance Amending Chapter 14, Article 1, Alcoholic Beverages, Removing <br /> Certain Parks in Kona from Section 14-2.2 and Adding Those Parks to Section <br /> 14-2 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition, as amended) <br /> <br /> Attached please find a bill to amend Chapter 14, Article 1, Alcoholic Beverages, of the <br /> Hawai `i County Code. <br /> <br /> Kahalu`u Beach Park, Magic Sands Beach Park (also known as Disappearing Sands Beach Park <br /> or White Sands Beach Park), and Pahoehoe Beach Park would be removed from section 14-2.2 <br /> and subsequently placed in section 14-2 of the Hawaii County Code. <br /> <br /> This would change provisions for consumption of alcoholic beverages at these three beach parks <br /> from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. with no permit required to those same times but requiring a <br /> permit. <br /> <br /> The ordinance would take effect on March 1, 2010. <br /> <br /> Please place this bill on the appropriate committee agenda for December 15, 2009. <br /> <br /> BJF/dkr <br /> Att. <br /> <br /> `-LNkl <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> Comm.
