The Planning Department is <br /> authorized to establish a program for the relocation of owner-occupants residing neat the Puna <br /> Geothermal Venture's plant and who want to be permanently relocated, and to fund expenditures <br /> for the benefit of lower Puna; including but not limited to, road improvements, water infrastructure <br /> development, land acquisition, parks and recreational facility needs, civil defense, and mass transit <br /> improvements. Expenditures from this fund are to be made in accordance with appropriations <br /> adopted by the Hawaii County Council after receiving recommendations from the Planning <br /> Director <br /> <br /> Through the efforts of Council Member Naeole, and as recommended by Planning Director <br /> BJ Leithead Todd, monies from the Geothermal Relocation and Community Benefits Fund are <br /> being requested for the Department of Parks and Recreation to purchase a new pool vacuum for the <br /> Pahoa Pool and to provide for security guard services at the Pohoiki Park. <br /> <br /> Council Member Naeole was not present for this resolution and the measure was twice postponed. <br /> <br /> FC Rept.
