<br />Council Chairman J Yoshimoto <br />and Members of the County Council <br />Page 2 <br />December 9,2009 <br /> <br />She is President of the Youth Horizons Hawai'i Non-Profit, which is focused on <br />providing mentoring opportunities and support activities. Currently, Margaret is <br />developing a youth program that offers hands on experiences in alternative energy. <br /> <br />3. Annie Howes (4-year term) is a 15-year resident of the South Kohala district and is <br />presently co-owner of a small business "Butler Service with Aloha" providing <br />concierge and other residential services. She has an extensive professional and <br />academic background in the hotel management industry and was an instructor on <br />the topic at the West Hawai'i Campus of Hawai'i Community College. She is <br />currently the Chairperson of the Parker School PTSO and volunteers her time with <br />the Waimea Outdoor Circle. Annie sees the Action Committee's role as being the <br />eyes, and ears of the community and finding win-win situations that are focused on <br />results. <br /> <br />4. Robin K. inaba (3-year term) is a 17 year resident of South Kohala and as a self <br />employed ,architect has worked with organizations such as'Tutu's House, North <br />Hawai'i Community Hospital, HPA, Waimea Middle School, Parker Ranch and other <br />groqps in North Hawai'i. She served on the Parker School Board of Directors and is <br />a me'mber of the American Institute of Architects. Robin supports agriculture in the <br />community through land use planning and would like to encourage sustainable <br />approachEls through the built environment. Robin believes that this can be <br />accomplished through the South Kohala COP Action Committee and will help to <br />improve the quality of life for our children. <br /> <br />5. Achahn Schulze (3-year term) was born and raised in South Kohala and after <br />receiving a law degree from the University of Hawai'j in 2007, went into private <br />practice. As a lifelong resident, Achahn is passionate about the land and the <br />community of South Kohala. As a result, he has a personal sense of duty and <br />obligation to give back to his community and feels volunteering for the COP Action <br />committee is the perfect opportunity. Achahn sees the role of an Action Committee <br />member as being a steward for the implementation of the South Kohala COP. He <br />would like to see the goals interpreted properly and a system or structure formed by <br />which those goals are implemented. <br /> <br />6. Fran Tabor (3-year term) has lived in the South Kohala community for over 12 years <br />and was employed as an optometrist with Kaiser Permanente. Fran is a current <br />member of the Waimea Community Association and Waimea Traffic Safety <br />Committee. She is concerned with issues regarding agriculture and urban <br />development and is keenly aware of matters that impact the environment and <br />resource preservation. Fran was an' active participant in the development of the <br />South Kohala COP and contributed her perspective to the process as well as <br /> <br />County of Hawai'j is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer. <br />
