<br />~ .~ <br /> <br />Project Number 09-SU-20 <br /> <br />CON T R ACT <br /> <br />THIS <br /> <br />CONTRACT, <br /> <br />executed on <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />respective <br /> <br />dates <br /> <br />indicated below, is effective as of <br /> <br />July I, 2009 <br /> <br />by and <br /> <br />between the Department of the Attorney General, State of Hawaii~ <br /> <br />hereinafter <br /> <br />called <br /> <br />"Agency" , <br /> <br />by and through the Attorney <br /> <br />General, and <br /> <br />the Hawaii Police Department, hereinafter called <br /> <br />"Grantee" . <br /> <br />WITNESSETH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe <br /> <br />Streets Act of 1968, 4;2 U. S. C. ~H3 3711 et seq., as amended <br /> <br />(hereinafter "Act"), was enacted to make grants to States and <br /> <br />units of local government, for use by the State or unit of local <br /> <br />government to provide additional personnel, equipment, supplies, <br /> <br />contractual <br /> <br />support, <br /> <br />training, <br /> <br />technical <br /> <br />assistance, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />information systems for criminal justice, including for anyone <br /> <br />or more of the following programs: <br /> <br />(1) Law enforcement programs. <br /> <br />(2) Prosecution and court programs. <br /> <br />(3) Prevention and education programs. <br /> <br />EXHIBIT "I" <br />
