l <br />WHEREAS, it is required'by,,HUD that the County of Hawai i <br />also submit certifications assuring conformance to related rules, <br />regulations and.laws of.the CDBG, HOME and. ESG Programs; and <br />WHEREAS, a timely submission of the Action Plan for CDBG, <br />HOME and ESG funds, in accordance with appropriate federal <br />regulations, is necessary. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT.RESOLVED`BY THE.COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY <br />OF HAWAI'I,that the attached Action Plan is hereby adopted.and <br />the Mayor of the County of Hawaii or, in,.,his absence, the <br />Managing Director-or authorized representative is hereby <br />authorized to execute and bubmit.the attached Action Plan and all <br />other related documents and agreements necessary to process the <br />CDBG, HOME.and ESG Programs to the'United.States Department of <br />Housing and Urban,.Development, State Housing Finance and <br />Development Corporation, and Hawai_'i Housing Authority. <br />BE IT FURTHER,RESOLVED, that the County shall utilize the <br />CDBG, HOME and ESG funds in accordance with program rules and <br />regulations and:comply with the program certifications attached <br />to the Action Plan.. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that 'the Mayor,or his authorized <br />representative is designated to act as the representative of the <br />County. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be <br />transmitted to the Office of Housing and Community Development. <br />Dated-at Hilo, Hawai' i, this 6th day of May <br />1998. <br />INTRODUCED BY: <br />C`0UNQfIL MEVMRI COUN-OF:HAWAIII <br />COUNTY COUNCIL ROLL CALL VOTE <br />
