Since 2004, he is <br /> a self - employed computer residential designer with Premier Pacific Design Group. <br /> Mr. Kitchens is a member of the Keauhou Outreach Committee, Bayview Estates <br /> Design Review Committee, and the Board of Directors of the Hualalai Academy. <br /> Mr. Kitchens states that he is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will <br /> succeed Fritz Harris - Glade, and will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2012. <br /> Council District 8 — Nancy E. Burns is a 20 -year resident of Hawai'i. She is a <br /> self - employed civil engineer. She was the past President of the Hawai'i Society of <br /> Professional Engineers. Ms. Burns states that she is not affiliated with any political <br /> party. If confirmed, she will succeed Stephen J. Herbert, serve the remainder portion of <br /> a term ending December 31, 2010, and will serve a subsequent term to expire on <br /> December 31, 2013. <br /> Council District 7 — Ann Peterson is a 15 -year resident of Hawai'i. She wrote the <br /> "Historical Kailua Village Walking Map" which won the Historic Hawai'i Foundation's <br /> Presentation Award. Ms. Peterson was the Development Director at the Hualalai <br /> Academy from 2007 to 2008, and the Kona Historical Society from 1997 to 2007. She <br /> presently serves as a member of the Daniel Sayre Memorial Foundation and the Board <br /> of Friends of Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. Ms. Peterson states that she is not • <br /> affiliated with any political party.
