No. 733 <br />PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa <br />78 -128 Ehukai Street <br />Kailua -Kona, Hawaii <br />TIME: 11:54 a.m. <br />Council Chair and Members <br />Hawai`i County Council <br />Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br />Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 733, reports as <br />follows: <br />Communication No. 733, transmitted by Mayor Billy Kenoi, dated March 2, 2010, submits for <br />confirmation the appointments of Mr. Shane Kitchens, Ms. Nancy E. Burns, Ms. Ann Peterson, <br />Mr. Eugene Power, and Mr. Stephen J. Herbert to the County of Hawai`i Kailua Village Design <br />Commission. <br />All nominees were present. Brenda Ford asked the nominees to explain why they want to be on <br />the Commission. The nominees stated that the historical value of Kailua Village needs to be <br />preserved. Mr. Power further stated that he wanted to preserve the trees. <br />Your Committee on Planning is in accord with Mayor Kenoi's nominations and recommends <br />confirmation of the appointments of Mr. Shane Kitchens, Ms. Nancy E. Burns, Ms. Ann <br />Peterson, Mr. Eugene Power, and Mr. Stephen J. Herbert to the County of Hawai`i Kailua <br />Village Design Commission.
