No. 700 /Bill No. 207 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 207, reports as follows: <br />Bill No. 207, transmitted by Director of Finance Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 700, <br />dated February 3, 2010, amends Ordinance No. 09 -64, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending <br />June 30, 2010. The amendment is as follows: <br />FROM: <br />3303.00 Federal Grants — Volunteer Fire Assistance General $ 47,364 <br />TOTAL $ 47,364 <br />010.221.5221.38 Volunteer Fire Assistance - Federal General $ 47,364 <br />TOTAL $ 47,364 <br />The Hawaii Fire Department is receiving additional funds from the U.S. Department of <br />Agriculture, Forest Service's Volunteer Fire Assistance Grant Program. These funds will be used <br />to purchase safety equipment for all the fire stations. <br />Pursuant to Section 46 -7, Hawai`i Revised Statutes, and Section 13- 13(b), Hawai`i County <br />Charter, the Mayor is hereby authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for the Hawai`i <br />Fire Department. <br />Hawai`i County Fire Chief Darryl Oliveira was present to answer any Council Member's <br />questions. <br />FC Rept.
