DATE: February 2, 2010 Re: Comm. 641/Res. 283 -09 <br />PLACE: Councilroom <br />Hawaii County Building <br />25 Aupuni Street <br />Hilo, Hawaii <br />TIME: 4:17 p.m. <br />Council Chair and Members <br />Hawai`i County Council <br />Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br />REPORT OF THE <br />COMMITTEE ON PLANNING <br />Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 673, reports as <br />follows: <br />Communication No. 673, transmitted by County Clerk Kenneth Goodenow, dated <br />December 2, 2009 presents a resolution to amend the Rules of Procedure and Organization of the <br />Council of the County of Hawai`i to include protocols for Council- initiated amendments to the <br />Subdivision Control Code and Zoning Code of the Hawai`i County Code. <br />The amendments to Chapter 23, Subdivision Code; and Chapter 25, Zoning Code, would be <br />referred to the Planning Director and the Windward and Leeward Planning Commissions directly <br />from the Council's Planning Committee for the required 120 -day review. <br />County Clerk Kenneth Goodenow proposed to further amend Resolution No. 283 -09 with the <br />contents of Communication No. 641.2.
