REPORT OF THE <br />COMMITTEE ON PLANNING <br />DATE: February 17, 2010 Re: Comm. 703/Bill No. 208 <br />PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa <br />78 -128 Ehukai Street <br />Kailua -Kona, Hawaii <br />TIME: 2:13 p.m. <br />Council Chair and Members <br />Hawaii County Council <br />Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br />Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Bill No. 208, reports as follows: <br />Bill No. 208, transmitted via Communication No. 703 from Mayor William P. Kenoi, dated <br />February 2, 2010, presents a Change of Zone Request by Concept Construction, Inc., at Waiakea, South <br />Hilo District, Hawaii, covered by Tax Map key 2 -2- 025:022. <br />Bill No. 208 seeks to amend Section 25 -8339 (City of Hilo Zone Map), Article 8, Chapter 25 (Zoning <br />Code) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2005 Edition), by changing the District Classification from <br />Single Family Residential — 10,000 square feet (RS -10) to Neighborhood Commercial — 20,000 square <br />feet (CN -20). <br />There was no public testimony. Tom Yeh, Esq. was present at the meeting, representing the applicant. <br />Applicant was also present at the meeting.
