EMC -21 <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />Comm 757: <br />(Res. 318 -10) <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Page 2 April 19, 2010 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE BY THE COUNTY OF <br />HAWAII OF THE INTEGRATED RESOURCES AND SOLID WASTE <br />MANAGEMENT PLAN UPDATE FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII (includes <br />waste reduction practices and programs, opportunities for implementation of zero <br />waste policies and practices, the status of both active and closed landfills, and <br />potential options for expanding and extending the capacity of the South Hilo Sanitary <br />Landfill) <br />From Environmental Management Director Lono A. Tyson, received <br />March 22, 2010, transmitting the above resolution for the Council's approval. The <br />2009 County of Hawai`i Integrated Resources and Solid Waste Management Plan <br />Update has been prepared in compliance with Hawai`i Revised Statutes (HRS) <br />Chapter 342G, which requires counties in Hawai`i to update and revise their solid <br />waste management plans every five (5) years. <br />Postponed: April 6, 2010 <br />(Note: There is a pending motion made by Mr. Hoffmann and duly seconded by <br />Ms. Naeole- Beason to close file on Comm. 757 and recommend adoption of <br />Res. 318 -10.) <br />The meeting place is accessible for persons with disabilities. If audio stream between Kona and Hilo is lost <br />for more than a short period of time, the meeting will be terminated. <br />
