WATSON has submitted an application for a <br /> Change of Zone from Single- Family Residential - 15,000 square feet (RS -15) to Single - Family <br /> Residential - 10,000 square feet (RS -10) for approximately 20,393 square feet of land. The <br /> property is located on the southeast corner of the Haihai Street and Likeke Street intersection in <br /> Waiakea, South Hilo, Hawai`i, TMK: 2 -4- 021:031. <br /> REQUEST <br /> 1. Proposed Development: The applicants are requesting a Change of Zone from Single - <br /> Family Residential - 15,000 square feet (RS -15) to Single - Family Residential - 10,000 <br /> square feet (RS -10) for approximately 20,393 square feet of land to subdivide the <br /> property into two lots. Each lot will be approximately 10,195 square feet in size and will <br /> retain an existing single - family dwelling. Upon approval of the change of zone, the • <br /> applicants will apply for subdivision approval immediately. <br /> (Planning Department Exhibit 1- Change of Zone Application) <br /> . 2. Reasons for Request: According to the applicants who are brother and sister, they are <br /> both getting on in years and have a desire to separate their financial holdings. <br /> 3. Landowners: The applicants are the landowners of the property. <br /> STATE AND COUNTY PLANS <br /> 4. State Land Use Designation: Urban. <br /> 5. County Zoning: RS -15. <br /> 6. GP LUPAG Map: Low Density Urban. <br /> 7. Hilo Community Development Plan: The Hilo Community Development Plan adopted <br /> by Planning Commission Resolution No. 1 on May 21, 1975 identifies the area as Single - <br /> Family Residential. <br /> 8.
