There is a tremendous opportunity to help diversify our <br />struggling economy by improving our local food production. I have been told that currently, the <br />state of Hawai'i imports over 2 billion dollars of food every year. There is a huge market waiting to <br />be tapped into, and programs like the farm to school program will open up markets for family <br />farmers.
