No. 661/Res. 291 -09 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 291 -09, reports as follows: <br />Resolution No. 291 -09, transmitted jointly with Bill 191 by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, via <br />Communication No. 661 dated December 17 2009, authorizes the Office of the Mayor to enter into <br />an agreement with the State of Hawai`i Department of Transportation to receive $25,154 from a <br />Section 5311 Non - Urbanized Formula Program grant for the Hawai`i County Mass Transit Agency. <br />The funds, derived from the Federal Transit Administration, will be used to supplement the Job <br />Access and Reverse Commute (JARC) grant that was recently appropriated into the operating <br />budget. The JARC grant is intended to provide increased transportation services for working <br />commuters and for those seeking employment.
