Section 402.2.5 is amended by amending the <br />"Exception" paragraph to read as follows: <br />"Exception: The continuous insulation requirements in Table 402.2.5 <br />shall be permitted to be reduced to R -3 for steel frame wall assemblies <br />with studs spaced at 24 inches (610 mm) on center." <br />(21) Deleting Section 402.2.6, Section 402.2.7, Section 402.2.8, and Section <br />402.2.9. <br />Section 402.2.6, Section 402.2.7, Section 402.2.8, and Section <br />402.2.9 are deleted. <br />(22) Amending Section 402.2.11. Section 402.2.11 is amended to read: <br />"402.2.11 Thermally isolated sunroom insulation. The minimum ceiling <br />and wall insulation R -Value shall be R -13. New wall(s) separating a <br />sunroom from conditioned space shall meet the building thermal envelope <br />requirements." <br />(23) Amending Section 402.3.3. Section 402.3.3 is amended to read as follows: <br />"402.3.3. Glazed fenestration exemption. Up to 15 square feet (1.4m <br />of glazed fenestration per dwelling unit shall be permitted to be exempt <br />from U- factor and SHGC requirements in Section 402.1.1. North- facing <br />windows and fully shaded windows shall be permitted to be exempt for <br />SHGC requirements in Section 402.1.1. This exemption shall not apply to <br />the U- factor alternative approach in Section 402.1.3 and the Total UA <br />alternative in Section 402.1.4. SHGC requirement for jalousie windows <br />shall be 0.65." <br />9 <br />
