No. 940 /Res. 391 -10 <br /> PLACE: Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort and Spa <br /> 78 -128 `Ehukai Street <br /> Kailua -Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:07 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 391 -10, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 391 -10, transmitted by Council Member Emily Naeole- Beason, via Communication No. 940, <br /> dated September 8, 2010, authorizes the County of Hawai`i to enter into negotiations for a multi -year lease <br /> agreement to lease 21.30 acres of land at Pohoiki, <br /> TMK: (3)1 -4- 002:009, to create a public swimming area. <br /> Council Member Naeole- Beason said that limited shoreline access has turned the Pohoiki boat ramp into the <br /> primary swimming spot for the area, which has created a dangerous situation for all users.
