Project Number 09 -DJ -04 <br /> C O N T R A C T <br /> THIS CONTRACT, executed on the respective dates <br /> indicated below, is effective as of August 1, 2010, by and <br /> between the Department of the Attorney General, State of Hawaii, <br /> hereinafter called "Agency," by and through the Attorney <br /> General, and the Hawaii Police Department, hereinafter called <br /> "Grantee." <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> WHEREAS, Title I of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe <br /> Streets Act of 1968, 42 U. S. C. §§ 3711 et seq., as amended <br /> (hereinafter "Act "), was enacted to make grants to states and <br /> units of local government, for use by the State or unit of local <br /> government to provide additional personnel, equipment, supplies, <br /> contractual support, training, technical assistance, and <br /> information systems for criminal justice, including for any one <br /> or more of the following programs: <br /> (1) Law enforcement programs. <br /> (2) Prosecution and court programs. <br /> (3) Prevention and education programs. <br /> Rev. 05/10 1 <br /> EXHIBIT "1" <br />
