The current subscriber agreement expires on December 31, 2010 and the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney wishes to extend this. They have been offered a multi -year subscription rate, which represents a significant annual cost savings over one -year agreement terms. This service, which they have been using for over 15 years, has been utilized to reduce their book subscriptions and the costs of legal research. Because of the impending expiration of their current subscriber agreement at the end of December, and due to the cancellation of the December 14 Committee meeting, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney requests that the resolution be waived from the Finance Committee and heard at the December 15, 2010 Council meeting. In the event that such a waiver is not granted, the alternative one -year contract agreement will be implemented and we ask that this resolution request be withdrawn.
