No. 14 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Communication No. 14, reports as follows: <br />Communication No. 14, transmitted by Director of Finance Nancy Crawford, dated November 9, <br />2010, authorizes the acceptance of donation from Hui Kuahiwi — The Club, and by Mauna Loa <br />Outfitters of the following donation: <br />Three (3) Garmin Global Positioning Systems (GPS), model 520 HCX; (total estimated value of <br />$1,380) to be utilized by the Hawaii Fire Department at the Captain Cook, Keauhou and Kailua <br />Fire Stations. <br />It was brought to Your Committee's attention the typographical error to the authority clause cited <br />as Chapter 2, Article 30, and Section 2 -162 (b) instead of (c). Each unit is estimated less than a <br />$1,000 and a resolution are not needed to accept this donation. <br />There was no discussion on this measure. <br />Letters of appreciation will be sent to each donor through Mr. Colin Onaka, Hui Kuahiwi, and <br />P.O. Box 856, Kailua -Kona, HI 96725. <br />Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13 -12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the <br />County, may accept gifts or donations of personal property.
