WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Council strongly expresses its support and confidence in <br />the management of the Hawaii Police Department, and that this request for a policy change does <br />not insinuate any impropriety or abuse; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that it <br />requests that the Mayor of the County of Hawaii implement a gas allowance policy for all <br />excluded managerial police personnel that is identical to the gas allowance policy agreed upon <br />through the collective bargaining agreement with the State of Hawaii Organization of Police <br />Officers, which is issued at a rate of one gallon of gasoline for every 10 official duty miles <br />driven; and <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward copies of this <br />resolution to the Honorable William P.
