COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />STATE OF HAWAI `I <br />BILL NO. 31 <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 16 SECTION 2 - 96 FROM THE <br />HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2005 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO MEAL <br />ALLOWANCE FOR NONOVERNIGHT TRAVEL <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br />SECTION 1. Purpose. To repeal Section 2 -96, Meal allowance for nonovernight travel, <br />from the Hawaii County Code. Repeal of this section will eliminate the practice of providing <br />meal allowances for employees who travel beyond the district adjacent to their usual place of <br />work and have working hours that extend across normal meal times. <br />SECTION 2.
