REQUEST: <br />To enter into a multi -year lease agreement for five (5) years for three (3) copy machines in the following <br />locations: Public Safety Building Machine Room, Public Safety Building Records and Kona Patrol. <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />The lease on the copiers currently in use has expired. The present machines are constantly being repaired <br />which causes many non - operational periods. The Police Department would like to obtain new leases for <br />copiers for the three locations. Within the last few years the Department has computerized many of its <br />documents with an attempt to minimize the usage of paper. This has resulted in a decrease in number of <br />copies made. The current copier leases includes 100,000 copies per month. The Department would like get <br />a lease which will include a lower number of copies which will result in a lower monthly cost. <br />The current machines are being leased for $1,378.86 per month. <br />We seek to lease replacement copiers with comparable features. <br />The Department is anticipating a monthly cost per machine of no more than $850.00. <br />SIGNED: 44 � DATE: FER 1 2 Q19 <br />D part t Head <br />
