REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> DATE: April 5, 2011 Re: Comm. No. 129 /Res. 46 -11 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 3:30 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 46 -11, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 46 -11, transmitted by Director of Finance Nancy Crawford, dated March 2, 2011, <br /> authorizes the payment of funds for more than one fiscal year for a new multi -year lease <br /> agreement for three (3) copiers for the Hawai`i County Police Department at their Public Safety <br /> Building Machine Room, Public Safety Building Records and Kona Patrol locations. <br /> The Hawai`i County Police Department's lease for the copiers currently in use is expired, and <br /> they wish to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement for three (3) copiers with a reduced <br /> volume specification, to accommodate the reduced demand of their office. The expected cost <br /> savings with the new leases is $528.86 per month, per machine. <br /> At the meeting, the Finance Director requested an amendment to the resolution to delete <br /> "$1378.86 per month for three (3) units, and that the total cost per unit, including cost per page, <br /> shall not exceed" from the Be It Further Resolved clause, and replace it with "$850 per <br /> machine."
