The project area is situated along the makai side of the <br /> Mamalahoa Highway, and includes the H61ualoa Inn in H61ualoa Village, H61ualoa 1 and 2 <br /> North Kona, Hawaii. <br /> The Commission concurs with the following Planning Director's reasons for recommending <br /> favorable consideration of the request: <br /> The applicant is requesting an amendment to Condition B of Ordinance <br /> No. 03 -162 to allow for an additional three years by which to secure final plan approval <br /> and complete construction of the proposed commercial development on the one -acre <br /> project site. To satisfy this anticipated requirement, the applicant is currently <br /> contemplating the construction of an approximately 3,000 square -foot pavilion -type <br /> facility to host special activities. <br /> Hawaii County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer <br />
