WHEREAS, the 2010 County of Hawaii Agriculture Development Plan goals, objectives and action plans will further strengthen the agriculture industry's vision of a thriving and sustainable agriculture industry is a vital contributor to Hawai' i County's economy, rural lifestyle and character by producing food, fiber, energy and ornamentals for local production and exports. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the County of Hawaii Agriculture Development Plan, dated October 19, 2010, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" be adopted as a guide for County of Hawaii actions intended to revitalize agriculture as a basis for economic development, creation of policies, allocation of resources, and advocacy for the stabilization and growth of agriculture within the County of Hawai' i. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawai' transmit copies of this resolution to the Honorable William P. Kenoi, Mayor of the County of Hawai' i; Geraldine Giffin, Chairman of Planning Commission — Leeward; Zendo Kern, Chairman of Planning Commission — Windward; BJ Leithead Todd, Director of Hawaii County Planning Department; Randall M.
