� + tV of M me, <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII •` STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 62 11 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION OF $75 <br /> TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION TO SUPPORT THE PANA`EWA <br /> RAINFOREST ZOO & GARDENS <br /> WHEREAS, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Kea`au Aerie 3642 is donating $75 to the <br /> Department of Parks and Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used to support the Pana`ewa Rainforest Zoo & <br /> Gardens to help provide funding for upkeep and maintenance; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the <br /> Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, <br /> Section 2 -162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, <br /> securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the <br /> Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that cash <br /> donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal Resolution process; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of <br /> this donation. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, <br /> Article 30, Section 2- 162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawaii <br /> accepts this donation. <br />
