Section 2 -101.1 provides a <br /> meal allowance for non - overnight travel for these County employees, under certain <br /> conditions by referencing Section 2 -96, which is being repealed. It is desired however, <br /> to continue this allowance for volunteer police personnel, including but not limited to <br /> reserve police officers and police chaplains. The enclosed bill proposes to delete this <br /> reference to section 2 -96 of the County Code and specify the parameters of meal <br /> allowance for these volunteer police personnel within section 2- 101.1.
