p <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. ' ?O 11 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A MONETARY DONATION OF $50 <br /> TO THE OFFICE OF AGING TO SUPPORT THE HAWAII COUNTY OFFICE OF AGING'S <br /> SILVER BULLETIN NEWSLETTER <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Herbert and Mary Matayoshi, are donating $50 to the Office of Aging; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will be used to support the Hawaii County Office of Aging's <br /> Silver Bulletin newsletter; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the <br /> Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, <br /> Section 2 -162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, <br /> securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the <br /> Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Department of Finance has requested that cash <br /> donations of any amount be recorded and accepted through the formal Resolution process; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of Aging recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, <br /> Article 30, Section 2- 162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawaii <br /> accepts this donation. <br />
