/,1,,,,:,. «� • • <br /> .1 <br /> •'• 6 `''' ��� ' STATE OF HAWAII <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII � =-�� •�`• <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 3 11 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE DONATION OF A <br /> SCENT TRACKING DOG FROM THE FRIENDS OF THE MISSING CHILD CENTER- <br /> HAWAII, FOR USE IN LOCATING MISSING CHILDREN <br /> WHEREAS, the Friends of the Missing Child Center - Hawaii is donating a scent <br /> tracking black Labrador, Magnum, to the Hawaii County Police Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, this canine, named Magnum, whose estimated value is $4,500, will <br /> be utilized to help locate missing children; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2 -162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts <br /> or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution <br /> approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department recommends the acceptance <br /> of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13 -12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter <br /> 2, Article 30, Section 2- 162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of <br /> Hawai'i accepts this donation. <br />
